Abstract

The article highlights that a better understanding the birth and development of casuistry morality, it is advisable, first off all to observe some historical background (Patristic, Middle Ages and Scholastic), which contributed to the consolidation of what later became known as casuistry morality. Casuistic morality is understood as the style of morality conceived from the Council of Trent (1545-1563), which basically prevailed until the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965). The casuistry moral was built through the Penitential Books and through the Summa for Confessors. The conclusion we reached is that it was the merit of casuistry morality to build important Moral Systems,
to better guide confessors in the elaboration of the judgment of conscience in the sacrament of confession. With casuistry comes morality as a discipline.importantes Sistemas de Moral para melhor orientar os confessores na elaboração do juízo da consciência no sacramento da confissão. Com a casuística surge a moral como disciplina.
